Do Not Put Masking Tape On Roof !!!! (1 Viewer)

I put a solar panel on the roof of my MH and held the wiring down with some masking
tape overnight whilst the glued on conduit cured.....went to remove the masking tape today and WOW its stuck and made a right mess....I had to scrape it off, little by little, with my thumb nail.
The residue left was cleared up with Goo-Gone....looking good again!!!

Any other ideas or suggestions for getting this masking tape off.....keep em clean!!!

You can get a "soft stick" Masking tape from any paint supply depot.

A fairly sharp chisel and a rubber mallet will help you get underneath any residue. The paint colour for replacing any little accidents should be on a tag inside the bonnet.

I use mini trunking with a self adhesive backing and then run a bead of sikaflex down each side. No need for tape

Where do you get acetone in the UK these day as now that you have to register as a possible bomb maker to be allowed to purchase it I wouldn't have thought too many places sold it ?

Second the WD40 recommendation. I use it for all sorts even cleaning my hands after doing oily work
