Another idea - You roof bars are quite high. So a shallow box that sat inside here, attached to the rail through the sides would be enough for chairs/windbreak and a spoiler at the front of the rail would allow the air to flow over and reduce any prospective drag.
I already cut the roof bar and let the old box sit direct to roof -glued and screwed --
the idea is to stop me climbing onto roof to get the chairs -Ann cannot grab them off me or pass them up now, so I usually end up climbing the ladder with one hand while holding a chair in the other -she says I am getting too old and fat :Angry:::bigsmile:
Think I will make the smaller size box and prop it in position to give it a good looking at before glueing/drilling and fixing it.Once she sees it the decission will be made if it goes on or not ::bigsmile:She has no idea how to envisage what it will look like :Doh::winky:

FINALLY GOT AROUND TO MAKING ONE ::bigsmile: not sure if it's staying -but here are some pics --total cost aprox £65
£8 locks
£15 plastic window board
£15 sheet plastic
£4 plastic idiot caps
£8 pu 40 glue (2 tubes)
£15 ali angle
Already had everything except locks and glue
