Obviously alarms are deliberately designed to not be tampered with easily.

Is this a manufacturer fitted base vehicle alarm? If so you probably need to speak to a Peugeot dealer.

If it's an aftermarket one then speak to whoever installed it.

Either way it won't be anything as simple as flicking a switch or pulling a fuse. That would make the alarm pretty pointless wouldn't it?

In the same way disabling it would, but the o/p plans on doing that anyway.

Very true (y)

What I meant though is that if there was an easy method all the thieves would use it.

If you're going to disable the alarm (insurers won't like it) then simply disconnect the battery and lock the doors manually.
I agree with PJ, but depending what alaqrm you have it may also have a dedicated back-up battery.

I rather take a short amount of time recharging my mh battery . Than having no mh to re-charge .

be careful as you could cause a problem on the canbus system and the siren will go off if you remove the power from the alarm as it will have battery backup
