Please can anyone help us. We are torn between a 2006 Compass Avantgarde 300 or a 2007 Elddis Sunseeker 400RL. Like both, sunseeker less miles, more expensive and no extras, not even alarm. Compass all the extras we want, a few more miles, hubby is swayed by miles, I am swayed by the extras!
We have been trawling the internet, trying to find reviews, but with no luck:whatthe:
Does anyone here own either one and could you give us your honest opinion.......please:winky:
Thank you

it will be down to what you want at the end of the day you say 1 van has all the extras you want but more milage, so what would the extras cost to put on the van, and is the van with less miles worth the extra that it will cost.
Have you spent time in the vans checking that you can spend time in there ok, in things like bathroom area and kitchen area does it have enough space for you, and if its raining when away can you lounge around ok. You havent said what the base vehicle these vans are on as that could also make a difference. Most motorhomes do not have high milage for many years.

Thanks for your reply, we have been in and out of so many before deciding on these two. They are both peugeot based, the elddis is a2.2 turbo diesel with an L shaped lounge, the compass is a 2.0 HDI with open plan seating comprising dinette with additional single 'sofa'. As the chairs on the compass are higher they are perfect for stretching out on, but then so are the ones on the Elddis! What we are looking for I suppose is which would people describe as the better vehicle as we know that both are comfy. Main things the Elddis needs are a cycle rack, durectonal ariel and most importantly an alarm, thinking these will cost an additional £1000 at least, fitted. In the future we would be looking at solar panel and addituonal battery too!

Go visit both of them and spend at least half an hour just sitting in the driving seat.

Work out which is the most comfortable

With the beds - go make them up - put them down and lie on them side by side for at least 15 minutes and decide which suits you best.

check the ovens - are the similar size or will one actually take a full chicken
check the fridge too - take a 4 pint of milk with you - or an empty carton will it fit in.

Things can be very deceiving xxxxxxxxxxx
