Todays exchange rate GBP/Euro is about 81.2p to the euro.

The average cost of diesel is 1.40 euro per litre.

Which means 1 litre diesel is about £1.14 per litre

Be warned it's a lot dearer on MW service stations, unless it's dropped in the last 3 weeks.

The cheapest station I've found near the Ferry Terminal Calais is the "Calais Relais", I paid 1.47 last week. - Broken Link Removed

I noticed most Motorway ones in the Calais area are around 1.50 a litre.

Both of which is still really cheap. However, I paid the equivalant of £1.08 in Luxembourg. If you are going that way, well worth a detour! :thumb:

Notice that the Relais Total is 1.46 euro. It's not the chepeast, but the fact that it's right near the terminal is almost worth the reduced hassle factor.

The cost of diesel may be a bit cheaper, but keep off the toll roads else it will blow any saving you make out of the water.

8 weeks ago because we needed to get back from Spain/France quickly we spent over 170 euo's on tolls, it kind of takes the edge of the lower price of diesel.

Just filled up the RV 2 hours ago at Arras on the N 39 on our way back to the ferry. 1.39 per litre at the Elf station.:thumb::thumb:
Cheapest diesel at the moment in France is being sold by the Elf stations, unfortunatly there are not a lot of them around.
Dearest 1.59 on A75 and most motorways on way up from Spain.
