We are due catch an early morning boat to Newhaven 5.30 am ish, has anybody stayed overnight on the docks the night before please????

If you look on Google earth you can see that there is a fair bit of parking at the terminal and on the sea front.

Not sure if you will be allowed to overnight on Dieppe docks as it is a small terminal. However there is an aire about 200 yards from the terminal where you can safely overnight, cost was €7 the last time we stopped there.

When we visited Dieppe we found the old fishermans docks now only used by pleasure boats the wharf is huge and unused we overnighted there fishing in the dock no problem and no charge. Do visit the chataux on the hill, follow the signs there is parking at the top. There is a magnificent view from there as well a museum that could keep you occupied for hours.

For the last half dozen times we have arrived at Dieppe anywhere between 11pm and 3am and parked in the queue or just to one side - at various times of the year. So it's worth checking first and if no room go to the aire mentioned above... or as Wildman suggests, the old dock :thumb:
