It was 1.19 when I got mine at begining of October.
Back in July I filled up at 1.18 somewhere around Chartres I think it was.
The price around here is down to that now.

Even better is that the exchange rate is around €1.27 to the pound, so thats diesel at less than £1 a litre.

I've just ordered a 32gb iphone 5c, £99 for phone, then £18pm, 2yr contract.
500min, unlimited txts, 500mb data.
Purchased at carphonewarehouse through uswitch.com.

So it's £531 over two years, my cheapest iphone deal yet. Limited data but shouldn't be an issue as mostly on wifi or 'three mifi' if away in the van.

After admiring another funster's awning, I've been looking for a Kampa 390xl.

I found this one on ebay, cheapest online, so bagged a bargain.
It arrived today, appears to be great, although haven't tried it out yet.

Just bought a used bike for €30.00. It's quite solid and I should get my money back when I sell it on before leaving Spain.

It's been 10 years since I rode a bike but it's true once you done it you never forget. Been for a bit of a ride today and my backside is now numb !

Keep it up the numbness will soon go..BUSBY:D

Lidl's wines. Yet to have a duff one and all about a pound less than say in Tesco. Not that Tesco have bad wines but at the budget end Lidl wins hands down.

And at the luxury end. Have you seen their xmas range? BUSBY.

Hi Techno

We've looked at various ones over the past couple of years or so (yes really!) but could never really justify getting them, however as hubby has a dicky hip, and now a dicky knee too which he had a lot of problem with last year in Germany and meant we couldn't use our bikes at all, we have looked into it again and have read up about quite a lot of them low to mid range ones and seen a few in the flesh too. Whilst at Newark show this weekend we were able to see several again so had a clearer idea of what we wanted. We also had a chat to Rex and Janet (ludo) who have the ones we have now bought and they love them ... as Rex is a .... er ... large ( ::bigsmile: ) chap we knew they'd be big enough for my hubby, who's not so 'large' but has long legs!

So after more research again at the competition we plumped for these, one thing that we like is that they are lighter than most, at only 15kg without the battery, 19kg with (most are around 19kg+battery, so 24kg+) it means that when we pedal them (no assistance) we're not having to cart extra weight around, they also will be easier to lift up/down form the bike rack and put less weight on it too. Also, as they have a narrow width when folded - about 15" - they'll go under our rear bed on their sides (although I'll be lifting the base up about 3 inches anyway to allow some air circulation under there as we get damp on top of the solid seat bases). They are 36v 10amp with 250w motors so will have more than enough oomph for what we intend to do with them (24v is way too small), have pedal assist and power only mode (with a proper twist throttle). Another considering is that the company has been trading for a long time, as they do mobility scooters etc, so you would expect them to know all about 'electric' propulsion equipment and be able to back them up and not, hopefully, go out of business as some of the newer, or more obscure firms could leaving a new purchaser out on a limb.

They'll be here on Monday so weather permitting we'll be giving them a try and I'll report back how we get on. One things for sure we will certainly use them both here and when on holiday, so that will be a good thing as it will encourage us to get out in the fresh air for more exercise! :thumb:
Check the various threads re electric bikes capable of operating on throttle only settings. You will not be pleased unless you are only going to use in UK.

My wife has electric bike. With two artificial knees it's the only way.

Sorry to hijack thread for a minute but wouldn't want anyone prosecuted because they simply didn't know.

Before buying that CAT I contacted brownhills and quite rightly they took my VIN number. The reply was
Hi Andy
This cat isn't suitable for yours I'm afraid. the correct part number for yours is 1358829080

Having took a chance and bought it I have found after cleaning it up and removing the Fiat label that underneath dot punched into the steel is...........................................1358829080 :p(y):ROFLMAO:

Ducato /Boxer /Relay etal
Red relay used in several places in your van, for example your ventilation fan which is a common failure! These are quite expensive usually but this price NEW is a bargain. Do yourself a favour and get a spare for your bits box.

Thanks Andy. (y)

That's certainly more useful to me, than the other items the seller is listing. :

an excellent accessory to help you check your spare tyre is inflated without having to slide under the van. Not bad value at under £8 delivered
