If you are not a member of the CC, then Southport CCSite is open to non-members. Fair walk (15 mins) into the rail station if any health problems, but your ticket will get you to all the merseyrail ( underground) stations in the city.

Just checked and the 345 still runs to Liverpool from just round the corner. You could get a taxi to Maghull station for trains to Liverpool

Not long enough!
Am at the cc Southport site at the moment. Excellent facilities.
The bus stops a few minutes walk up the road I think.

I'm a newbie and always will be. You never know it all.
Has anyone stayed in the free parking area Kings Drive Wallasey? There appears to be a bus service directly into Liverpool from the area. I rather fancy spending a night on the Little Roodee, Chester and then moving on to Wallasey to visit Liverpool.
