Now a year !
Afternoon all,
Just wondered if anyone has put a data tag on their bike? As I understand it if it gets nicked, then found it can be traced to the owner?
Any thoughts

More info please.
I think you can purchase a tag that can be put on the bike and registered with the police. I believe that you can get tags that either cannot be removed or are placed in a hidden place.
As you can see I don't know that much about if, hence the post .

I used Data tag on my motorbike if i remember it was like plastic washers that held the code for a scanner, another idea might be smartwater that would be easier to fit.

I used Data tag on my motorbike it used like plastic washer that the scanner will detect, another option may be smartwater you paint it on and the code is in the paint (you cannot see it when fitted) they use ultraviolet light to read the code.
