We are planning a tour along the Danube in May starting at Donaueschingen and finishing at Budapest. Any recommendations for campsites, stellplatz and 'must see' sites (along with any other hints and tips) would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance. :drinks:

    Hi

Passau is certainly worth visiting, if you check on campercontact there are three Stellplatz, one is right in town on the side of the Ilz just before it joins the Danube it's very popular so need to be there early. There is one at the bus/train station that is not nice and another one about 1.5 miles out of town, this one very large and free and you could cycle to town, we walked in walked around the town, up to the castle back into town and then home and we did 10 miles, should have taken the bikes but then we would have to fasten up somwhere and walk around in cycle shoes. There will be a bus as well.
