Yes, we got one to replace our old one which deceased!! £7.50, reduced at Aldi!

The unit seems reliable so far, giving expected readings.

The only downside is there is no 'hold' function for the display. This makes it difficult to read in tight corners.

I got the same one from Aldi (full price). It matched the dealers readings, so seems good value.

Got one of these, but can't fathom out which scale you are supposed to be useing, the thingy goes up the middle so is the reading say. 20 or .9 for example, goes up to 44 on one side and to2.0 on the other could be either:Sad:

All these cheapo meters are just a guide. If one area of you MH is low and another is high then start looking carefully.

Pick a place where water is unlikely to get to, there's a base reading. Then go hunting.

Hi if Im not mistaken the left hand side is for wood and the right is for materials etc I work from the right hand side if its reading 04 /06 dont worry ( right side) its a moisture meter very sensitive if it goes off the top then see if you can see why if you want to hold the reading hold finger on the set button hope this helps but dont forget its very sensitive put it on a dry hand and it will go to the top

    READ THE BLOODY INSTRUCTIONS!!!!!!!!!

Remove the cap to expose the pins. Stick pins in wood!
Left hand scale for wood, right hand scale for plaster!

The contacts on the cap are for checking calibration, again read the instructions!!!!!!
