I blame Fairport for all of my misfortunes...

My wife and I met in a pub and finding we both liked Fairport. We didn't realise it until we got talking, but had both been regulars at the Jug'o'Punch in Birmingham when it all started, as my wife's friend was married to Andy Smith, the banjo player from the Campbells and I was running a club and singing at the time.

It's nice to see that Swarb and the others are coming along, but we won't be going as I've had a look at the line up and there is nobody who particularly grabs my attention apart from Fairport. I'm not really into large sit in a field type festivals, although we are off later today to Wessex, which is free and has a brilliant line up and then staying for Wimborne next weekend.

It's nice to know there are other old folkies on here, but I already knew that from the 'One for the campfire thread' We're hoping to head north in July and looking forward to some good pub sessions in Scotland.

We always aim for Field 6 - it's only a short walk to the Main field.
