For days now flights of Cranes have been passing overhead at Parc Verger. This goes on day and night there must be millions of them.
Quite a spectacle. :thumb:

Flying in only one direction Ken? or the same birds flying to and from a watering hole? Impressive sight though ain't it.

As far as I am aware they are heading North to their breeding grounds in bogs in the Scandinavian forests.

Errr boggy areas before you lot start.

Hundreds over here today. My dog can hear them but hasn't worked out where they are yet.

Sometimes you get a smaller group that are ahead and they wait, circling for the main V formation to catch up, then they join in.

If you see them heading back south/ south westerly direction again, it means they've met bad weather and fly back down for a few days, then try again.

Driving back home on saturday up the A23 to Zarragossa the sky was black with them. Wish we were back there rather than cloudy UK.
