Crackling radio (2 Viewers)

John, drop off at any car shop and buy an in-line power filter. You just fit in into the radio main power supply line. It sounds that you may have a diode going down in your alternator, which can cause an interference crackle, that goes faster as you rev up.

So mask the fault in the alternator..... or cure it !!!!

That's the plan if following the check on the aerial as you suggested doesn't find the fault, Brian.
