has anybody ever stayed on the Wheal Coates tin mine car park ?
If you would like to stay at "pub" campsite then try The Golden Lion near Stithians...effectively £10 a night for two people , van and hookup assuming you have a drink in the pub...
A lovely walk around the lake too..
Thai Fish Cakes aren't too bad either!
for a snack!
You could also try this pub friendly and good food.
Or try the cl at halfway house or there is a Britstops pub just outside Redruth, there are a few wilding opportunities at Stithians lake too
its not a cheap pub though we stayed @ sithians lake next door & I lost 80lb in the restaurant on the 1st night 2nd night was drink only but still small change from £10 for two
lovely place though & yes wed go again
Haven't stayed there. Been that way before we bought the MH so walked up today to look at it with "new eyes"!
This is the Wheal Coates car park at about midday today
Looks a bit dreary with no view but sheltered from the Atlantic "breezes".
However if you walk out by the white car this is the view you get
and just below is this (sorry, this seems to not want to sit "portrait")
and if you go about half a mile down the coast you can even find this (not my MH) with cafe & loos
Hope I've done this properly - haven't included images before!
Stephen & Jeannie - hope I'm not too late to be of any interest to you ref Wheal Coates!!!
