8 years, but had caravans & Tents before that
Hi all just got back today from 2 weeks in Cornwall / Somerset,
when in Cornwall stayed in layby about 1mile, before the turning down to
Sennen cove, few passing cars untill midnight, ish but otherwise very quiet.

"Think i saw it here about parking in second c/park at Sennen cove
over night, we were going to but there is a notice just before there saying no
overnight parking, but the sign at the c/p has no warning so wernt sure which
one applies, and nobody around to check with????".

Also noticed a few vans just outside of Helston on Penzance side
parked up in big layby with toilets, had to have stayed over as
we went through very early.

Cheers. :thumb:

Hi Bigfish, sounds a good one to me. Love Cornwall and can't wait to get back, seems safer than some places for wild camping. Is there a water supply around anywhere as we always use a lot with the dogs etc. My mate says you always get water supplied at the cemeteries, he uses them all the time abroad.

Hi Graham

No water @ layby near to Sennen cove,
the place @ Helston had toilet block didnt
stop there so not sure of water, have recorded
it for future use though as very convenient for that
part of Cornwall

the mount

just back from 2+ weeks in cornwall and can confirm
side of the road at st michaels mount free overnight with toilet block nearby and fantastic views, follow road on back road to helston and large layby on left even had a caravan there for 2 weeks
we have just had 2 weeks at praa sands car park right on the beach front ( 30 second walk onto mile of goldern sand beach ) £8 for 24 hours but a few rules , no generators late or early hours, no droping waste tank on car park surface, up to about 24ft vehicles fine , dont forget to put ticket on or you will be clamped , saw loads of m.h pull in for the day and pay £4 but then disapear for the night , extra £4 well worth it for overnight as toilet block , pub, chip shop all close by and the view is superb with the sound of the sea , ps the owner has a motorhome
