    Cooker in new burstner elegance is rubbish 2 hours to cook chips what's that all about

    it must be fitted with a slow cooker :DSeriously how are you cooking them ?how long to boil a gas kettle with a couple of mugs of water

    Kettle on the large gas ring seems to boil in a few minutes, but on the electric plate it takes ages.

    Is the chip pan sitting onto the ring or on the metal above it ---it needs to be touching the ring

    have you lot been on the syrup a bit early today?? :D

    OP is cooking chips in his oven, or at least tried to

    Our Hymer has a useless oven as well, wouldn't bother trying oven chips, we sometimes take a ready meal away, can take 40 mins to get macaroni cheese warm enough, wouldn't dare do anything starting with raw meat (y)

    But the OP is from Cheltenham, of course he is cooking chips in the oven, he will never have seen a chip pan :D

    So now posh Hymers have started to put ovens in -they don't work :doh:You pay all that money and can not cook chips :D

    Thank you for the replies the chip was just a example of how bad the oven is, and I would of thought for a new van it would work better than it does, gas rings are fine (so the staff tell me)
