Hi Funsters,
I am trying to get the Westfalia name (decal) back on my MH.
I have a competent, high res .jpg image and also a .psd but the printer says it's too ragged on the edges to cut out.
Do any of you have the facility to convert my .jpg to a vector image if I email it to you or can you recommend a downloadable software for this?
It will need to be done in light grey.
Thanks guys,
Michael

I had a quick internet search to see what is available, I usually use download.com if I want a cheap or free programme for some purpose.

I did spot this firm offering to convert a jpg to a vector image for less than a tenner, might be worth thinking about if all else fails.

I think Coral paint will do it and put out a .dxf file.

I don't have it anymore, sorry.

Paint.net what is free lets you save/convert to PNG if that helps.

Ach well. What is the file extension anyway and is this what i would need if i design a sticker for the sides of my van?

There are quite a few vector formats but the industry standard is EPS.

If you want to design your own graphics for your van then the first thing you need to do is find someone who can print and cut it for you and talk to them about their artwork requirements.

There's nothing more frustrating than receiving "artwork" from someone who has assumed they know what they're doing and then discovering it's not usable.

Also sticking vinyl onto vehicles is an absolute pig of a job unless you're used to it. I won't do it for customers.

Hi Nick,
I've sent it via 'conversation' as there no longer seems to be a PM facility!
If that doesn't work you can email me at bacarruda at g mail and I'll reply with the jpg
Thanks
