Is there any evidence that condensation causes these dash problems in the fiat dash, was talking to a warden at a site and he advised me to get some because previously he has had 3 clusters replaced and says its down to condensation in the electrics.

If that was the case (which I doubt because all vehicles are subject to internal condensation some of the time) then any faults should disappear when the condensation disappears. Sounds more like poor quality control during the soldering process.

It's very unlikely that condensation from the windscreen will find its way into the instrument cluster, most recent Fiat Peugeot and Citroen dash problems have been due to poor quality instrument clusters. Ours was replaced under warranty as were many others produced in the last few years.
