I am currently looking to buy a 2008 onwards charisma or liner. We previously had a charisma 890.

If anyone knows of one coming up for sale, can they let me know please. Obviously already know about the ones at Southdown.

Thanks in advance
Pete

One for sale here but its top dollar IMO, and they don't show any pics of the inside, just the LED lit garage which looks like a tarts boudoir.

Thanks - been scanning mobile.de and autoscout24. Not really sure if I want LHD tbh. If the ex rate was the other way it would make it an attractive option but I don't see that is the case at present. Thanks anyway.

Yes I saw that one thanks. I personally think its to much money but wish them all the best with it. Strange how they have posted so few pictures when trying to sell something for that kind of money.

I think there are more pictures to come when it arrives at the dealers.

If you've got an HGV licence and money is no problem, have a look at this German beaut thats found its way onto the UK market.

Well done Peter.

We're out at South Lychett Manor near Poole next Sunday for a week.

First time out so all very new and different from the RV.

I think I've got a handbook or two missing so you might be hearing from me very soon !!!!

I hope you enjoy the Liner....must admit it's a serious bit of quality kit;)

Thanks John, The handbook suitcase is a bit scary the first time you get one of these - do much documentation its mind boggling. Hopefully I can remember some of the stuff from the charisma we had previously so the learning curve will be a bit shorter.

Feel free to get in touch after mid december - won't have anything before then :)

far superior than any yank I've owned !!........Can't say that on the RVOC

or they'll hang me !!!!!

Hello Peter.......Have you collected her yet ?

Just a thought....There's a site called Concierge Camping about half an

hour from Southdown......might be worth booking on there for a couple of

night to get used to her.Expensive but beautiful site and open all year.

Just to go off track .....I'm still getting used to my baby.:xgrin:.....If there's

anything you want to know I'll try and help out.:xThumb:

hi John, not collected yet. The re- upholster has been done, I think the chassis and engine have been serviced but the tec tower upgrade is going to delay collection. We could pick it up earlier but would rather wait until it's all finished.

Yes we are thinking about a couple of days at concierge already - seems to ave a good reputation

Glad your getting to grip with yours, regards, Pete

John, the fridge/ freezer has an oven above it. That stack is known as a tec tower. The wife is fairly short and it's frankly dangerous for her getting stuff out of the oven.

So, we are having a new oven put under the sink area, and a new microwave and fridge freezer on the other side. It's basically the same layout as Southdown have Ina brand new Concorde they have on site at present. The issue is the time taken to get hold of the stuff to get the upgrade done as the precise configuration is not currently available retail so has to come via the Concorde factory.

Regards
Pete

Thanks Pete, Much appreciated.

My wife is only dinky so its me who gets stuff out of the oven. You're right

though it is dangerous so why they put it up there god only knows.

We have a problem with the oven at the moment,it won't go above the

lowest setting so it's only good for plate warming !!!!!:xgrin:

According to Andy at Southdown I can buy a new gas valve in a kit form

to 'service' the oven.......the whole bloody fridge freezer has to come out

to get to it and Southdown say it's a days work for them at £90 an hour !!

I will do it myself as I was a heating engineer years ago so I know the

theory, then get it checked out and certificated.I fitted an oven to my RV

which was pretty straight forward.

I might have a look at fitting the oven under the sink unit like you.

Perhaps you could post a picture when yours is complete.

Many Thanks.

Finally get to pick up our Liner on Monday. We did the final inspection of all the mods and changes yesterday and Southdowns have done a superb job.

Very happy with the tec tower changes, the repositioning of the oven under the sink, the re upholstery of all the seating in fact everything that's been done.

Hi Pete,
We would be interested too in seeing some pictures. We have got a D Liner which we are really pleased with but I have never been happy with the Tec tower. The first problem with it was the electric element on the fridge which Dave fitted and then we had to have a new gas valve for the oven which was replaced at Southdowns. Luckily we were still in warranty but we didn't want to drive from Warwickshire to have fridge part fitted.
Our experience with Southdowns has been excellent. They sell a quality product and there service centre is brilliant.
Hope you enjoy your Concorde.
