Hi all,
A newbee solo -ist (with doggie) to motorhoming, only been out for one, gusty weekend but lots of trips planned ! I need a good, simple, compact tv aerial which can be mounted onto a tripod. Can anyone recommend a good one? thanks

If on a tripod, probably recommend a dish - as this will give you more options, especially if abroad.

You an get mini dishes in a case that would be ideal. You would need to source a tripod, many use the washing line type. These do come with 'suckers' to fit to van side/roof etc which could also give more mounting options.

If you are talking a freeview digital/analogue antenna then the one below works well. It is omnidirectional so just connect and forget. We had one on our last van and will probably get another for when it is too windy for the sat Dish.

sorry Roger but you've been very lucky using it successfully as an OMNIdirectional....it is in fact a directional aerial.

from the ebay listing....

Features:

  • Unidirectional
