we have a a/s executive 2001 .when sitting we get a cold draft that seems to come from the cab area.last winter we had to buy a fan heater to keep us warm.the vans heater is ok but it will not keep our feet warm.
anyone out there had this problem and how did you fix it.

Two suggestions for you to try.

1. Make sure that the heater vent is switched to "circulate air" rather than allow air from the outside. This should stop draughts caused by the wind.

2. If you look at the edge of the Drivers and Passenger doors you will see about 9 inches of what looks like a grill, cover this with something like gaffer tape.

Now a year - cant believe it!
The coldest air is always low down. What are your door seals like? A poorly aligned door will let in loads of draughts.

Hi June and Dave

We had a Talisman some years ago and had the same problem. The draft comes from the cab area never located exactly where from. We did 2 things that seemed to cure it,

1 When you park up switch air to recirculate, lever on dash, don't let in cold.

2 For winter use make a curtain that goes across cab behind seats, about seat back high to floor level.

This we found worked quite well for us.
