So Cody has started limping when he gets up in the morning or after an afternoon snooze.. he's been to the vet and we have spoken with the insurance company's pet nurse.. he is back to the vet next Friday for a further diagnosis but early signs apparently point to elbow dysplasia..
There seems to be a couple of ways of dealing with this by either waiting, investigating then waiting, going to specialists etc but the likelihood of him growing out of it naturally are apparently low. Waiting is apparently only to ensure the treatment isn't undone by more growing..
Have any of your pets had this or similar congenital issues affecting them? Did you find the insurance and treatment options easy enough to navigate? Are vets just after cash here or is there good reason to follow expensive diagnosis and treatment options?
he's still the cutest by the way..
