    Hello people,
    Hope someonecan help?
We want to get the ferry to eastern Spain next week, which is the best port, Santander or Bilbao?
    From Portsmouth.
We are not booking anything just turning up, anyone with a Ferry code willing to share would be nice too.

Either port would be good as they are not really that far apart.

I would pick the port/ferry that got in at the time u want to arrive to suit your onward journey

The advantage of Bilbao is on the return journey it generally leaves earlier in the day than the Santander one which gives you a second chance at spotting whales which you don't get from the evening sailing from Santander which will cross the Bay of Biscay at night.

Whatever you choose check which ship it is and how long the trip is. Some of them take two nights because it stops at Roscoff.

@Welsh girl I would book online if I were you. For example, the ferry to Santander on Tuesday is already fully booked.

Ferry booked for 12 Oct, let the fun begin,Portsmouth to Santander on the Pont Avon.
The only thing to get now after losing ours is a Spanish gaslow connector.
