Anybody know of a MH stop (pref with decent toilets and EHU) very close to a transport link into Paris? Close enough to make a day visit feasible.

We use Camping La Belle Etoile in Melun to the south of Paris. There's a bus from outside the site gate to the station then its 30 minutes on the train to Paris.

Also handy for Fontainebleau and Disneyland Paris.

We used this site, it has good facilities, is/was well administered, AND it has public transport from the site gate, tickets available from the reception. Paris central 15 minutes.

It has a river one side and a motorway the other, but that did not upset our stay.

Paris Est****
Boulevard Des Allies
Champigny-sur-marne
F - 94507

It is number 1555 on page 184 ACSI 2014 book 2.

I hope this helps

There's a campsite at Maisons-Lafitte beside the R Seine, a short walk from the RER rail station which is integrated with the Metro, so you can go directly into the city centre without changing. It stops at Etoile, directly beneath the Arc de Triomphe, amongst others.

We stayed at Maisons Laffitte last year and had a pitch right on the river Siene, it's a 10 min walk to the rail station and 20 min train to Paris, you can get a combined rail/metro ticket which I think was about 11 Euros. The site is easy to get to with a good shop and cafe/bar. (y)
