What can you recommend for cleaning the plastic bathroom sink, it seems to be really badly stained probably from suncream rubbing onto the edge of the sink. I don't want to damage the plastic but need something strong to clean it properly.

Thanks

I ended up spraying my sink with plastic paint, stains wouldn't come off and then surface looked crazed/scratched..

Hi,please be careful what you use as my sink degraded right after using a cream cleaner it turned into corn flakes in a few minutes and I had a hell of an expense getting a new one Rapido sinks are now stainless steel I note.

the plastic used in motorhome and caravan wash basins discolours over time. sometimes worse and quicker than others. nothing removes the staining and the only options are replacement or respraying with plastic paint

Did the finish last ?
I'm amazed how tough and flexible the finish is, if I knew it was going to that good I would have done a better job and not rushed it. I put on around 4 - 5 coats, covers really well.

Sink removed. Spraying was mostly done outside in Winter, not ideal, a few more coats applied in the garage but it was not warm enough according to the instructions.

Well I've ordered some G101 and I will also try the bicarbonate mix too! Painting will be a last resort!

Ours has a silver plastic sink but a white surround and it is this that has discoloured where u run against it! The silver sink looks a little better but not perfect!

OK @Charlie, I'm biting. :D
What the heck is G101?

Richard.

Dunno haven't a clue. Something @FJmike rambles on about .... :D2

Seriously it's an APC ( All Purpose Cleaner) made and sold by Autosmart.. its very good and being dilutable it can be used strong as you will need it or weak. It contains none of the nasties in a lot of the products mentioned above. Many of those will make your problem worse not better. Painting should be regarded as a last resort or it would be by me !!!!

Try G101 . Mix strong and rub it in. Leave for a few minutes then rinse with water. Repeat if necessary.
