Cleaning my bike. Something I rarely do but it was windy outside so worked in our garage. To my horror the spokes were beginning to grow rust. After trying several things I used 'Astonish' which is available in Wilkinsons and the new large cut-price stores. It is designed to clean stubborn burnt-on food in the kitchen. With little or no effort it removed the rust and I then wiped some wax over the spoke to keep the air off. I do not want or expect to touch these spokes again for at least another year.
