Hi, we have a family get together (big Birthday) planned for the end of February, 4 motorhomes and a tugger coming from Scotland and Kent.
Looking for a site or CL with hookup , waste and water within walking distance of a pub or restaurant. Somewhere suitable for a stay of four nights probably around Yorkshire but open to all suggestions.

Not quite yorkshire but here is a little site we use often it's only a 10/15 minute walk along a quite country road to village with two lovely pubs, the owner will actually drive you to pub in minibus for free if you just leave him a pint behind the bar. They have a cl plus campsite so loads of room and lovely setting.

Here is another we use for weekends just outside Appleby they have a cl plus a small campsite also so loads of room for you. There is a pub just one field away which takes about 5 mins walk or you can via the road/lane and it won't take any longer than 15 mins slow walk.

Both can be busy so I'd phone up and book, the first one has toilet and showers the second just has toilet both spotlessly clean and very peaceful.
Hope these help

Thanks Lorger.
This place seems just right for our first venture out in the campervan:)
Which should be ready in the next week or so(y)

Spoke to Julie this afternoon but can't book just yet until the campervan is finished & dogs are welcome:cool: which
is perfect for us.

If this is your first trip out you may be spoiled for future trips :). The owners really are spot on couldn't do enough for you but leave you in piece at the same time, last time we went we had to hunt him down on day of departure to pay him not many sites like that. If he gives you a lift to pub just stick a pint behind the bar for him the barman has a book full :). the dogs will love it also has loads of walks direct from site and ideal for cycling. We may end up there this weekend as CL we intended on visiting has closed due to weather.

Looking forward to our visit :)
The river looks like our first bit to explore. Julie said that lambing is ongoing so thatā€™s also a must:)
As you say the walks direct from site make it sound perfect for our first trip.
Again thank you for pointing this site out.
