Hi Les

Yes it is ok you will see the motorhome/campingcar sign and if your arriving late should be a few mh's there already. Once when we arrived about midnight there was a chain across the entrance but it just hooks on and off no problem.

We were there last bank holiday no problems apart from the bottom section of the camping car area was sectioned off with some bording/ fencing they were carrying out some repairs or modifications. Also in the day alot of cars use this area so can be tight for large units but should be clear at night. Also security patrol passes regularly looking for imigrants as tunnel terminal is over fence.

Three years ago, I E-Mailed Cite Europe and asked if okay to overnight at the motorhome parking area. They responded positively and we have used it half a dozen times since.

However, last week we planned to do the same, until five African looking types appeared and started peering into a tourist coach parked nearby. Then back into the bushes and back to the coach again. Then they ran off; as everyone else, we drove off and went to the splendid ACSI site at Guynes.

Frankly, peace of mind is definitely worth £12 odd.
