Almost a Newbie but not quite now.
Hi all, Just been out fitting one of these rats tails to stop the mossies in Spain as new to us AT Savannah does not have a screen at all. All fitted except ,,,,,,, how do you keep them open/apart when not in use. I sent off for a couple of fancy magnets with tape between but they are not strong enough. Anyone found a solution please.

Thanks TheBig1, I had thought of that but decided against as the Chenille is very fine and I think will get caught in the hook parts pulling the flyscreen apart in time. Thoughts are to obtain a couple of D rings and use spring hooks and tape/cord to hook them back.

I just used the piece of chenille tail on one side and put it round the rest then popped it over a stick on hook on the original side ... easy peasy.

We have an eyelet into the wall by the door with a cord through which use to tie back

Ours were too long and so a couple of off cuts were used to tie back so no damage to ours.

Are these meant to keep mozzies out? The Spanish ones just look at them and laugh.

Thanks for all the replies folks. We have decided to get a D ring either side and hooks for tie backs. Our Savannah has a step incorporated in the entrance and above is the control panel so fitted snug to that using 2 pieces of perspex with cutouts for square rail. Problem is it is snug to clear the top of the doorway so unable to remove easily and wanted to pull to either side when not required.
