Hi, i know how these threads go but anyone here who has been robbed and some sedation chemical used then get in touch with me as I'm trying to piece together what happened on my trip back from the south of france. Here's my story, feel free to discredit it, i know most here are skeptical anyways but in order to advance any understanding of these attacks i feel this is important to contact any who have experienced it.

I never usually use an aires but this one time I did, i thought i'd get half an hour nap and be on the road again. about an hour later i was disturbed from my sleep and noticed two things, firstly there was a sound of rain but not the normal heavy rain drops it was very light rain. i flipped back the curtain to look out but there was no rain. i thought nothing and lay down again. next i noticed a flash light coming in at the window, i'd left the curtain slightly open, my thoughts were disoriented at this time and i was having problems moving. i fell unconscious again. next both my partner and i were both disturbed by someone in the vehicle down at the cab end, again i problems moving but managed to sit up in an exceptionally dazed state, unable to vocalise anything, move or lift my arms, the next thing i just collapsed back down like a dead weight and couldn't help but fall unconscious again.

we awoke a full 12hrs later feeling disoriented and with throbbing heads and very pale skin. it took us a while to realise we'd been robbed as we started to remember what had happened in the night. the door had been left open slightly by the thief and when we finally got round to calling police we found they were already there with other motor homes having being attacked aswell.

i don't know what chemical agent was used whether they pumped gas in or if they broke in and chloroformed us, either way it took about 3 days for both our headaches to stop (i don't ever get headaches) and a full week before the toxins left the body, both our stools turned a distinct grey colour for an entire week, which hasn't ever happened before.

I have since put deadlocks on every door and alarmed each door and put motion activated lighting and cameras in the vehicle and i would urge everyone else to do the same. maybe the cameras are overkill but I figure these are specialist gangs of criminals and the sooner evidence is obtained the better.

I would love to know what symptoms other forum members exhibited, PM me if you don't want them public, i realise how traumatic it maybe to retell your account in public and have it disbelieved or put down to being drunk or something, it is my thoughts they maybe using a range of methods and are highly skilled at rendering people unconscious.

thankyou so much and i know people on these forums don't want to be alarmed by these things but i feel it's necessary to inform potential travellers so as they can know what to look out for and can protect themselves.

I'd like to thank the moderator for allowing this post to go through as ultimately i don't want to scare anyone, i just need to make more sense of what happened and having read previous posts i know others have had similar experiences.

    It happened to me.

I woke feeling groggy and had my mobile and £2000 cash taken while we slept.

if you can remember, would you characterise it as a headache, or body lethargy or both? also if you can remember where in your head did you feel the effects, ie behind the eyes or at the back of the head etc? and did you notice any other effects like stool discolouration or skin turning pale, many thanks for your reply

Hi, sorry you were robbed, being present at the time makes it all the more traumatic and you will take a few days to get over it. Rest assured, whatever happened to you did not involve you being gassed. That does not happen, it most certainly is a myth.

How do you know that? Did you have toxicology scans? How was it administered?

Hi chris, i'm unsure if you are saying you thought it was some kind of anaesthetic used or you had been drinking and it felt like a drinking hangover, how long did the state last for, many thanks

What a horrible experience, were blood samples taken from you and your partner the next day? I would have thought that would have shown what if anything was used against you.

While this is often used as an explanation as to why people didn't wake up during a robbery A French police officer confirmed last week they have NEVER had a confirmed case of gas attack robbery in France.

Hi Jim, I know it by how I felt for the subsequent week after the event, the 3 day headache and week long stool discolouration and paleness of skin and lack of sharpness of motor skills. some toxin entered our bodies for that to happen to us both and exhibit the same symptoms. i didn't order a toxicology report because we just wanted to get home asap and don't want to hag round french hospitals incurring costs and hassles,i realise it would have been prudent but at the time we just wanted to get safe as quickly as possible. funnily enough the police tried to dissuade us from us thinking it was a gas attack which made me wonder about chloroform after the robber breaking in. neither of us had been drinking or had any contact with other people that day.

Whilst I remain highly sceptical about the notion of someone filling a MH with anaesthetic gas through vents or aircon, I can't help thinking there must be a way of putting someone into a stupor if you can get close enough to their face with chloroform or an aerosol of some substance or other, ie through an open window. The botched attempt at rescuing terrorists' hostages from a Russian cinema some years ago shows that narcotic gasses do exist, although that particular one was a massive failure in a large enclosed space. Also, bear in mind the soporific effects of aerosol-based solvent abuse among youngsters - one of my ex-pupils died from that a few years ago.

However, that said, there has yet to be a case of the occupant(s) of a truck, tent, or motorhome being found dead from the effects of narcotic gas. Of course I don't wish that on anyone and hope it stays that way, but it's hard to believe all these amateur nocturnal anaesthetists are creeping around without one or two of them getting it wrong.

Hi, I wouldn't be to quick to assume you were drugged, much more likely that you had a fever type bug that just happened to coincide with your robbery. For me at least, had you said you were robbed by aliens that would be as believable as being gassed. ;)

Meanwhile, The deadlocks are a good idea. I hope you didn't lose too much and your insurers played ball. (y)

I'm intrigued that you "know how these threads go" yet only joined today. Have you an alter ego on here? If you are convinced of your experience you might be in fear of ridicule I know. :)
