image.jpg I found this little chap in one of my (left outside overnight) Crocs this morning ....fortunately before I put it on!
All part of camping in a warm climate...near Viganj , Peljesac , Croatia.

Only size 6 - it wasn't a big toad - had put our wet, muddy Crocs in a bag then it jumped out when unpacking on our return home! We managed to catch it & put it in the garden. Our son, who was young then, was upset that it was away from its family & wanted us to drive back to Pembrey to return it! Luckily we had quite a lot of other toads already in our garden so it wouldn't have been alone :)

When ther is a danger of things like that bamboo canes to hang your footwear on scorpions cant climb a bamboo cane for sum reason they can climb walls and glass and doing that will remind you to check them.
Another way is to keep your foot ware inside the van but do check for the lital buggers .

There are about 1700 species of scorpion worldwide - only 25 of them can be fatal but you can get a nasty sting. It hurts...........

Crikey we're still on our way to Croatia, haven't seen anything like that yet, but then it is snowing in the Alps. Moving onto Slovenia tomorrow.
