Now that the dates have been announced for the October Motorhome Show at Birmingham NEC
we have been hunting for the cheapest reasonable standard of accommodation nearby & the Travelodge at Birmingham Airport is as low as £29.70 (double room) if you book now with a discount code
If you travel by car it is £7.50 for 24 hours in the adjoining NCP car park but that does include a free shuttle service to the airport (ideal for picking up lunch from M&S) & from there it's an undercover walk into the NEC. Alternatively there is the X1 bus (£1.50 each trip & bus stop nearby) that goes right to the NEC as well as the airport. If you drive in it's not far but there can be traffic at peak times which doesn't affect the shuttle service or bus as they travel on a private road around the airport.
