Hi all,

The fresh water tank on my Chausson 737 has a basic screw blank cap without any hose filler connection. To fill the tank I swivel out the filler tube within the 'technobox'; however there is no hose connection, hence unless held in position the hose falls to the floor. Does anyone have any suggestions for an appropriate adapter? My only solution is to try and source a replacement cap and do a DIY job with a hoselock connector.

Many thanks.

My solution was to bend some 15mm copper into a 'J' shape, slide hose over it so it doesn't mark anything, then fit a Hoselok onto the end. It just hangs in the filler 'ole & isn't tempted to jump out.

Fix a self adhesive hook to the outside of he van such that it will support the hose on a slight kink and wedge into the filler

I find with a Hoselock type fitting on the end of the hose it just stays in the hole but don't use a genuine Hoselock one they are too fat.
If using the Heos make sure you get the right type they do two versions for vented & unvented fillers.

I saw the 18.99 one but deliberate didn't quote prime prices.
To anyone who hasnt had a prime trial it's worth getting one anyway. Just remember to cancel.

... nothing worse than having a hose that keeps falling out ... water all down your trousers gives the wrong impression! :D
