Met up with Frankie ( Yodeli) this afternoon and had a lovely time. She even took us for a quick tour of Toulouse in her car to have a look at the city. Thanks Frankie, will certainly pop in and see you next time we're down this way and hopefully stay a little longer!!

Can't believe how few Brits we have seen , in fact hardly any , we did meet a nice couple the other night but even they were in a French van and actually live in Brittany, other than that none, and it's really nice down here with all the blossom coming out and warm but not too hot like it will be later in the year, I would have thought there would be loads.

It's surprising how many other British vans you don't see! I think we saw 3 on Aires in the month we were there. One at Sete, ( another Autosleeper) a red PVC at Rodez and an old Ducato somewhere else in he south.

Just got back from a walk round the town, but it is shut on Mondays:( but will be at the market tomorrow;), this is just some sort of aire, right beside a canel but you can't see it from the van, but it's free to stop and there is a massive abattoir that has been closed and renovated into showers and toilets and even a kitchen with electric bobs and a microwave, all free as far as I can see, it's for people off the canel as well as mhs. If it just had more of a view it would be very close the top of my list of Aires.

The aire at Donzac is also very pleasant, about 10 minutes drive ( picture below from last week there). Yes i was underwhelmed by Valence on a Monday although the aire is lovely,

Cant believe its the same town, empty and closed yesterday, all open and crowded today, had heavy rain last night but today, not a cloud to be seen.

Apart from the half-wit who overtook me on a blind left hand bend outside Oloron-St. Marie last year ,I don't recall seeing a Brit van anywhere other than between Rouen & Dunkirk

Afraid not, I've cooked in the van the last couple of nights. But I shall certainly find some more now we're back near the coast!!!

What is it? Oops forget I asked. A closer look just showed me. For a minute I thought it was some sort of old fashioned noose.

Thanks for info love that new aire spotless! Has @burtonbird had some more moule frites yet!
This aire is really one to put down for future, especially if you are into birds it's dead quiet apart from birds singing, apart from the cuckoo I haven't a clue what they are but they are going at it all the time..

He's right, the bird song is amazing even if it does wake you in the night. But better than that I saw a Hoopoe strutting about in the grass and then taking off over the bushes!
