Charging a scooter battery in a motorhome (1 Viewer)

We have just bought a new Ducato based Hobby motorhome with a large garage into which, I will put my disability scooter, ideally I would like to charge the scooter battery which is 24 volt whilst we are on the move, but the motorhome is 12 volt.
Can anyone please tell me if it can be done and how ?

Hi simplist method would be to connect it to a inverter (conected to L/B) that would be getting a charge from engine topping up the battery via a relay (500 W INVERTERS AROUND 30 QUID)

Inverter is the way to go,but,I would think only whilst on the move-too much drain on leisure battery if you use it whilst stationary.
In case you don't know-and inverter converts your 12v power into mains voltage.
We charge most of our stuff using inverter whilst we drive.

The only other things that we would use the inverter for would be to charge my laptop and the hand held vacuum cleaner.(obviously only one at a time)

The specs on the scooter's lead acid battery charger are:-
Input 100/240v A/C 50/60 1-2A

What size of inverter would you suggest ?

Its a 24V battery charger with a 12V input. A good bit more expensive than the inverter route but likely to have a more efficient conversion process.

Alternative would be to use a solar panel(s) most solar controllers will work equally well with 12 or 24V systems.
