My two new leisure batteries are due today.

What should I look out for and is there a sequence when changing them.

Do I join the two together before connecting to the positve/negative wires ?

Or does it not matter which way I put them on ?

The old ones are as flat as a pancake.

Is there anything I should Isolate or switch off ?

sorry for the questions, but as you may have guessed from previous questions, I know nuffink about electrics.

Check liquid levels while you can easily.

Yes turn everything off - then you'll not be frighted by a bit of spark.

Connect the earth/ground/negative last then if your spanner touches metal whilst tightening the + you'll not get BIG sparks.

Coat everything in vaseline before connecting. No not yourself, unless you're into that sort of thing.
