From what I understand, the age of the MOHO and engine size will correctly determine the class of certificate. TBH not sure what the process is to get the authorities to re check their database. They sent a 3, it should be a 2, according in to their site it should be a 2
Not quite true as a MH over 3500Kg is classified as a truck and the class for trucks start at 3 irrespective of age and engine size. I queried my class 3 and was told to look in section V9 of the vehicle documentation. As a UK V5 doesn't have a section V9, I replied asking them to re-look at my application and attached V5 and go on age only. - and still waiting. From what I understand, the age of the MOHO and engine size will correctly determine the class of certificate. Filled in the form & put van down as light commercial >3.5t which means "more than" 3.5t (as basically the Ducato base is a light commercial van, not a truck) copied the V5 which clearly shows Revenue Weight at 3850 (but Max. Permissible Mass & Mass In Service @ 3500), sent it all off & it came back as class 2. Am contemplating re-applying, or should I just leave it? This is the Site I used - https://www.certificat-air.gouv.fr/demande-ext/cgu . If you check the 2 boxes, click on the "Next Tab", click "I am not a robot" & "add vehicle", the application form will come up.How come? We're 4250kg
Exactly as I did so basically gave them the choice to change if they wanted they obviously agreed with me so got class 2!
