Apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere......I'm trying to work out the best place to wire in my CBE CSB-2 battery split charger. I have a westfalia James Cook 2004 based on a Mercedes sprinter. It has a solar system (that i'm just upgrading), and has a normal leisure battery setup.....Two of them that get charged when driving, when on hook up, or through my solar system. I know i need to wire up the CSB-2 to my leisure and starter battery's, but :
a) Do i connect to the solar system itself, somewhere between the positive lead coming from the mppt controler to the leisure battery, or can i just connect it to a feed coming from the battery's themselves?
b) Is there a good place in the vans electrical systems, assuming they are similar to most motorhomes, that normally allows close proximity to the connections i need to make including the starter battery.
Basically, i've sussed out most things including my solar installation, but with this, the fog has descended, I don't have a clue.
