Just got my Caxton card as most funsters say its good couple of questions when we get back from France if I still have a couple of hundred euros left on it can I cash them here from hole in the wall or do I have to leave them in until we go again or do I load with pounds and will it convert to euros when we use it abroad

You certainly can if you switch to 'revolut', it automatically switches currency to whichever country you are in and gives you interbank or Spot rate everywhere, so much better than Caxton, no need to take my word for it Andy aka @Techno introduced me to it and it really is unbeatable currently.

We always leave it on the card as I loaded some when the rate was higher. You can transfer back to your bank account but I think there is a small charge.
Have you got the MasterCard or a Euro card version? If it's master card it holds different currencies and you can swap between them via your account
