Hi there

Thought you may be interested....my company sells a device which connects to an iBoost WiFi system. The device comes equipped with a VPN (Virtual Private Network service) which provides simultaneous connection for UK TV streaming sticks e.g. Roku or AmazonFire as well as for iPads, laptops etc. Many customers are successfully using this to access UK Internet services including Live and On-Demand TV (BBC iPlayer etc.) over the Internet in their Holiday homes abroad. I wondered if this is something that would be of interest to members of Motorhome Fun. We also offer VPNs which can be installed onto iPads, laptops etc, without a router....we have a website which I can share if anyone is interested.

Fon only shares a small fraction of the hosts bandwidth and if their connection is slow it won't be much good for streaming.

Thanks Andy, good point. Are more suitable connections likely to be available anywhere?

I'm not a fan of streaming devices at all as those using them ruin it for regular folk who just want to browse and collect email.
My thoughts as well, anyone will any morals should only stream when using their ouw connection. Inconsiderate and selfish to stream when piggybacked onto someone else's network or a shared resource like a campsites wifi.

Not long enough, but a little common sense helps..........
I have been to 4 campsites to date, were I sorted the owner's router so it blocked all the common TV sites like filmon etc including torrent sites. Got a few free nights for the effort. Personally I use my own mifi if I want to download streaming channels. Simples
