basically, I need a new front pipe for the exhaust on my Fiat Ducato based motorhome, year 2003, and I'm not sure if there is a cat on this model or not. Does anyone know please?

On a 2003 Ducato it is unlikely that a cat was fitted (though not impossible). Definitely no DPF (a completely different piece of kit) would be fitted. Standard downpipe is readily available from the likes of CES and Euro Car Parts, get a jointing kit, exhaust paste and some new bolts/nuts for the lower connection as well.

Just had my Peugeot 2003 exhaust replaced and was told it had a cat fitted, was surprised the full system cost only £370.

We have a 97 ducato based Autotrail with 2.5 TDI motor in the workshop this week and that also has a catbon it, it even says 2.5tdi cat on the front wing.

if it has a cat/dpf now and you fit a none cat/dpf, good luck at MOT.
if they can be bothered to look it should be on the MOT computer and removal is now a fail....but not retrospective.
