Not Long Enough...!!
If you were parking up for a month or two would you leave the toilet cassette flap closed or open.

We are thinking leave waste, fresh and toilet pink empty also. This is a veh left in a not very often frosty part of the world.

I always leave ours open a little so that it does not compress the seal or stick if the flap dries out, and always empty all my tanks and pipes waste and fresh.

As above - if you leave the flap closed tight when it doesn't need to be, it compresses the seal unnecessarily and reduces its working lifespan.

Many years
We leave ours closed, but I do give it good spray of silicone in the open and semi open position to lube it before closing. Had no problems with the seals in 12 years.

Incidentally I just use ordinary silicone spray, available from any car spares or DIY store at a tiny fraction of the lunatic Thetford price.
