Cassette Door help

    Hi there trying to locate a replacement cassette door for my old Auto-trail Apache as i accidentally snapped the old one off :cry:

    the only thing i have found is a service door 3 not sure if this is a direct replacement

    any help would be appreciated , i have attached a picture

    According to the Thetford web site service door 3 is "standard door for the Cassette Toilet".

    You can search for a local dealer at the top right of the page. They should be able to help.

    just tried a few locals dealers who have no idea what i am on about lol, just seem to deal with caravans, going to phone thetford directly see if they can shed any light on the situation

    Cheers yea i saw that, its not exactly the same as there is a push button for the release, there's non on the original , will have to try and get dimensions off them


    in further news just spoke to thetford. according to numbers on my door my is a "door 1" and they don't think its compatible with service door 3

    looks like its going to be a breaker somewhere i suspect

    If it's just the hinge pins that have broken, I once read that they could be replaced with nylon 'strimmer' line, using a soldering iron to melt each end of the line to keep it in place.

    it is the hinges, silly me tried to shut the drivers door while the service door was open :Doh:

    i think i could bodge it but would rather not if i can source a replacement
