I have a carver 2 water heater (gas only). It is looking like I need a replacement. Can I fit (not personallly) the gas & electric heater as well, and would I have to connect the electric to the 240v or could it be left unconnected.

thanks Shirl

Not long enough
If its a Carver Cascade 2 model you do not need to connect the mains heater , personally i would connect it and save your gas

Always take the electric option whenever possible. We have just returned from three months in Spain and I didn't even use a whole 13kg gas cylinder.
Good luck.
