Cassette toilets in motorhomes are in my mind a complete joke and totally useless.
Cassette toilets are ok for caravans and nasty little camper vans.
A 6 berth motorhome with a cassette toilet ?
Why not a 5 litre diesel tank as it's just about as useless.

What you want is a scooter with a rack on the back...that will save lifting a heavy cassette to the ground.

The rack is about the same height as the cassette door . Just reverse the scooter to the door slide the cassette on to the rack attach a bungie cord ...turn the spout outwards and remove cap.

Get on the scooter and do a sharp take of thus putting the scooter in to a wheelie and emptying the cassette.

Or you could just do as @BreweryDave suggests and empty it more often
Especially if on a campsite after all that's what your paying for.

If I used sites I'd empty it every morning

If someone is going to get upset about my comments on cassette toilets then unfortunately they need the kind of care and emotional support that can only be found with an inpatient stay at a special place (y)

It was more the "nasty wee campervans " bit lol :p

To be honest I don't mind the cassettes ...im not sure I'd like a black tank I think that would be more hassle for me to empty.
At least with the cassette it's portable so I can take it to a toilet to empty etc and I have 2 of them.
One of my sister's vans a laika ecovip had some form of black tank that you then could slide a cassette in to from underneath to empty in to that or drive over a drain.
She hated it as she had a lot of hassle emptying it.

Since the 90's
Anyone who has one of the older cassettes like my c200 and must have wheels then the freshen up kits are now being supplied with updated wheeled cassettes...

https://www.thetford-europe.com/product/toilet-fresh-up-set/

Personally I would rather stick with the wheel less ones as there is slightly more room in them. ;)

BTW, this thread started in 2014, I wonder if the OP ever got sorted?
