We are off to Cardiff for Bank Holiday weekend. Does any Funster know of
any Service area that allow overnight stays, willing to pay of course. A friend of ours stayed on one way to Pwhelli, and got a £60 fine for overstaying her welcome so I dont want one of them thank you.

You can park at Aust Services (M48 Old Severn Bridge) for £8 for up to 24 hrs according to the web entry for it

Best to phone ahead and check though

Gonna phone the Services later to today. Also will look at Sophia Gardens, we hope to get as near to Cardiff, at least an hour away, so we dont have too far to travel on the Saturday. We are actually booked to stay on site at Cardiff Bay Yacht Club during the Welsh Championships so if any Funster lives nearby and fancies popping along to see some sailing your very welcome. Oh and to meet some fellow Funsters too :thumb:

I rang Severn View Services and yes they do allow motorhomes to stay overnight for £8. If its a large motorhome, something the size of a HGV it would be £15.

This is an excellent site, for the walk into town through Bute Park (about 20 mins) better still take the water bus on the right just before you reach the end of the park. it takes you right into "Mermaid Quay". bags of cafes eateries etc. The facilitys on site are a little worn, but managable! and if you are a fan of the oval ball the guided tour around the Millenium Stadium is well worth while.
One word of advice get to the water bus stop early, as it's very popular!

The site is sorted staying at Cardiff Bay Yacht Club, will try the water bus if we get any time off for good behaviour.
