Hi. Has anyone replaced the knuckle on their caravanstore themselves .. I just ordered one (hopefully the right one) and am now wondering if I have to take the awning off to fit it. I presume there will be some broken bits of the old one in the tube I will need to shake out as well?

I replaced one a couple of years ago. I did it with the awning off which makes things easier but I would think it possible with the awning rolled out and supported somehow, a prop or a pair of willing hands. Ours was a bag awning and fairly easy to take off, I presume yours is the same. I don't recall having to shake any bits out but I suppose it depends what is broken.

Hi,
I replaced a knuckle on a Fiamma motorhome awning.............I know its different but the principle may be the same.
I had to drill a plastic rivet out of the leg and unbolt the other knuckle end. Mine was quite easy but as I say a different kettle of fish. r
