Which one is best to join for sites etc. Our insurer has said our premium would be reduced if we joined one. which would you recommend? thanks :)

It comes down to personal choice really. We have been members of both for years but have now opted to just join the CC.

    As above...

We - as newbies - joined both in April... One of which was for insurance reductions...

But at the end of the day we insured with someone else slightly cheaper..

To-date we have only used CC ...

We were members of cc for several years , found there main sites very expensive . Their small cl sites are good value. We have however cancelled our subscription with them as the c & cc gave our disabled daughter a special membership they had recognised in her own right she would never be able to access any of their sites without adult supervision due to her disability. So they do not charge adult rates for her in fact they don't charge for her at all . When we asked the cc for the same type of membership they told us they could not do it, but told us to write in and literally beg for it so hense we told them no . We are very happy with the c& cc they have always made us welcome and we enjoy their rallies also as we are over 55yrs of age we get an age consession :) :) :)

I would like to join CC&C club, but without UK address it would appear that I can only do it on line and therefore do not get the books etc. Never thought about CC. Shame as would join tomorrow if could get books as well.

Thank you Kate, that might be the only way right now.
Currently on the phone awaiting an answer as the lady is sure that if you call at one of their "bigger" sites you can join in the office and they supply all the books etc. Why do they make it so hard.......

C&CC for us....love the small listed sites and the club sites are great out of the main season. We also get the members age discount :)

We are on-line members so don't get the printed magazines but can always look at them online.

C & CC for me as with the ol' bugger's discount it works out cheaper for me as a singleton than using CLs or CC sites. I'm a member of both, but I find C & CC sites friendlier and more inclusive than CL. Downside? C & CC require a £25 deposit when booking online, CC does not. Each to their own I say!

Well, after calling them today and how friendly the lady was on the other end after my many questions we decided to give them a try.
