you may be better starting with a race truck.
you would need a 7.5 ton almost to accomodate it really.
try a ebay on them lots out there. just try race truck. lots there.

Hi, a friend of ours had an old converted coach, and use to go of to Le Mans ect with a car in the back, but it was already converted when he got it.

I think you would be better to start from scratch and build your own, or buy one of the motorsport boys already done, rather than converting a motorhome.::bigsmile:

Or do what we do and put the Smart on a trailer. :thumb: Bob.

a toy hauler would do it

You can get American RV toy haulers.. seen a few in the UK.. the front end of the C class is a normal RV but the back has either ramps or a tail lift fitted .. they are used for bikes, quads etc., .. all under 7.5 tons that I have seen. But they are not classed as a motor home as they are carrying goods... We did see one at Lincoln last year that had a car that went in the back through the side.. that was over 7.5 tons.

But you can get them.. need good air suspension fitted

remember that if it as a big garage etc .its no longer a motor home .but a living van . these get a different mot test to a class 4 . also check insurance some dont like you carrying cars . .
be carefull as toy haulers if trailers over 3.500kg are testable . if they have the american brakes make sure they are of an approved type .
of course a mini artic or 5er could solve your problem easily . no need for the car then .only one test or tax . possibly no test, as some can be exempt.
better to have metal suspension in my book .

Or easier and safer is to buy a car trailer.

cant see that bob .a 5er or artic is far easier to handle than a car trailer behind a motor home. plus just adding unnecasary weight and expense. . the options are even better if you are over 70 . no medicals if you get the right set up and heavy trainweights . far greater than m,home and trailer.
its hard to lead the blind . but so far a few of us have sesnse . talk to any of the other 5er users . we are in the lead.
